Undergrad

So how do I feel now that I have officially completed my undergrad? I would say kind of ambivalent.

There is of course the sense of relief from the stressful last few weeks of studying for exams. Maybe it doesn’t seem like a big deal being a university student anymore, but we seriously put a lot of time and effort in and let’s not get started on the amount of stress we have to deal with. I feel deserving of my degree.

Then I start thinking about the future and realize that by May I will not be student status anymore. With my work contract ending, I will be officially unemployed. It’s like releasing a pet goldfish into the sea. At the moment, I am not exactly sure how I am going to deal with this big change in my life. Moving on into the adult world is exciting and scary at the same time. It is so different from the life that I am familiar with. But thinking back, this is how I feel at every transition in my life and things always turned out well. So I guess all I can do for now is to take things as they come and see where that takes me.
